Gloves Galore

Oh my goodness. How many pairs of gloves have I knitted? Trust me as I type this it feels like too many. Best estimate is around 250 pairs. This is over the course of a few years. Gloves people? Please can we move over to hats for a while? Just not scarves. They take forever!

I do not mean to come across as ungrateful and I don’t actually mind knitting them. Sewing them up…. that is a different kettle of fish. It wasn’t even something I wanted to add to my range. Yet they are my best seller. After a winter season I can knit them with my eyes closed.

My husband laughs at how fingerless gloves can be so popular. Me I totally get it. It was all I had when I had a paper round growing up. No point in having fingers on gloves; letterboxes ate them. Even now I find gloves frustrating. Have to take them off to do anything. Wrist warmers or fingerless all the way for me.

When I added the pure wool option to my range I had no idea they would be so popular but there are times when I can not knit them fast enough. For all of you out there sporting a pair of my fingerless creations, I thank you. Anyone thinking about ordering… please don’t all hit buy at the same time. It could cause a melt down.
